What this site is

This site shows Indian customs information read from official documents - the Customs Tariff, notifications, General Exemptions and anti-dumping compilations - exactly as printed, with the page and line each value comes from. It is operated by [operator name - to be provided by the operator].

Not legal advice, not an assessment

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or customs advice, and nothing here is an assessment of duty. The duty payable on any import is decided by the proper officer of Customs on the bill of entry. Before you file or rely on a value, check it against the official notification or the Gazette, and take professional advice where you need it.

Accuracy of the information

  • The values are read from the source documents automatically. They can contain reading errors; values that need checking are marked, and every value links to the page it was printed on.
  • The information is only as current as the source documents the site holds. Later amendments may not be included; the status of the database (for example “Accepted” and its date) is shown on the pages.
  • Some information comes from a draft source - for example, the entries of Notification No. 45/2025-Customs are read from a copy issued before Gazette publication and have not yet been reviewed. Such rates are marked “Draft source — as printed in the draft copy; not yet reviewed.” wherever they appear.

The duty calculator

  • It gives an estimate, not an assessment. Every line shows its formula and where its number came from.
  • It uses the Basic Customs Duty printed in the tariff, and other rates only if you enter them or choose a notification entry. An exemption or notification entry is applied only when you choose it and confirm that your goods meet its description and conditions - the calculator cannot check that, and you are responsible for it.
  • Anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard duty, and levies you do not enter, are not included. The exchange rate is the one you enter.

The AI Copilot

Copilot answers are written by an AI model from excerpts of the source documents only. They can still be wrong or incomplete. Open each cited page before relying on an answer.

Accounts and acceptable use

  • Keep your password to yourself and give accurate account details.
  • Do not try to break into, overload or disrupt the site, or to get around its access controls or request limits, and do not use it to collect data in bulk by automated means.
  • The operator may suspend or deactivate an account that is misused.

Availability and changes

The site is provided as it is and may change, be unavailable at times, or be withdrawn. Features and the information shown may change as source documents are added or reviewed.

Responsibility

You remain responsible for the declarations you make and the duty you pay. As far as the law allows, the operator is not responsible for loss caused by relying on information or estimates from this site without checking them against the official source.
